Day 2 Hanoi-Halong-Hanoi (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Gia Lam Heliport for
a 50-minute flight by chartered helicopter to Halong Bay. (Each
helicopter can carry from 20 to 24 passengers.) Arrive at Halong
Heliport and transfer to a private boat for a five-hour cruise
on the magnificent Halong Bay with a seafood lunch. Halong Bay
is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 3,000 spectacular limestone
islands rising dramatically from the emerald green waters of
the bay. Transfer back to Halong Heliport and board the helicopters
for a different but just as spectacular view of the bay. After
a 15-minute fly over the bay head back to Hanoi. Transfer to
the hotel on arrival at Gia Lam Heliport. In the evening transfer
to Truong Chinh National Theatre for a very special farewell
dinner. A troupe of traditional musicians will welcome the group
on arrival. Thousands of fairy lights lead the way to the artificial
lake where there is a 30-minute performance of Hanoi’s
famous water puppets. The show is followed by cocktails and
a gala dinner. During dinner guests can enjoy a traditional
Vietnamese musical and dance performance. While guests are enjoying
dinner a model helicopter ingeniously made from soft drinks
cans is placed in each room. Transfer to hotel after dinner.

Day 3 Hanoi-Danang-Hoi An-Danang
(B,L,D)
After breakfast in the hotel transfer to Noi Bai Airport for
the short flight to Danang in the centre of
Vietnam. Guests are welcomed by Exotissimo guides on arrival
in Danang and transferred directly to the Cham Museum. The luggage
is taken care of by porters and transferred separately to the
hotel. After visiting the Cham Museum, which contains the finest
collection of Cham sculpture in the world, transfer to the Furama
Resort, one of Vietnam's premier beach resorts. Lunch is served
on the Ocean Terrace. In the afternoon visit the charming historic
town and former trading port of Hoi An. In the evening, China
Beach is the venue for a Pirate Night Party. Fishing boats,
wooden crates with rum bottles and an exciting pirate show create
an unforgettable evening. To add to the fun guests dress up
in colorful pirate costumes provided by the resort. A local
pop group entertains with popular music and guests can dance
the night away. Overnight in Danang.
Day 4 Danang (B,L,D)
After breakfast, another uniquely Vietnamese experience, a basket
boat race. The boats are rraditional basket-woven Vietnamese
fishing boats similar to the coracles found in Wales and parts
of South America. Each race is for 10 boats and each boat has
three paddles, two for the guests and one for the boatman. The
race is over a distance of 500 metres starting out to sea and
ending on the beach and the route of the course is marked by
buoys. The race will be supervised by two staff from the resort
and there will one boatman in every boat for to assist participants.
A rescue jet ski and physician will be on hand just in case
of any problems. At the end of the race the first three teams
will be awarded gold, silver or bronze medals. In addition the
first team home will receive a special gift from the Furama
Resort. The awards ceremony will take place in the water sports
house where the winners will be able to celebrate with a bottle
of champagne. In the evening, the Indochine Party takes you
back in time to the romantic, exotic days of a bygone area.
This elegant soiree recreates the French colonial period with
an elegant gala dinner served buffet-style and entertainment
by a Vietnamese band. Overnight in Danang.
Day 5 Danang-Ho Chi Minh City
(B,L,D)
After breakfast transfer to Danang Airport for the flight to
Ho Chi Minh City. The luggage is taken care of by porters and
transferred separately to the airport. Guests are welcomed by
Exotissimo guides on arrival in Ho Chi Minh City and transferred
directly to the hotel. A morning city tour visits two fine examples
of French colonial architecture, the Notre Dame Cathedral and
the Old Saigon Post Office. After lunch at the excellent Mandarin
Restaurant the city tour continues to Cholon, the city's chinatown,
with a visit to Thien Hau Pagoda and Binh Tay Market. At Binh
Tay Market, the largest in Ho Chi Minh City, there is 30 minutes
free time for shopping. Leaving chinatown, visit a lacquerware
factory and finish the afternoon with a visit to the restored
city theatre and a stroll down Dong Khoi Street, the fashionable
Rue Catinat of old Saigon. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner
at the famous Rex Hotel on the roof terrace. After dinner, all
guests are invited to join a "Saigon by night bar hopping"
tour taking in some of the city's liveliest bars such as the
Underground, the Rainforest Disco and finishing up at the famous
Apocalypse Now where guests can dance till the early hours of
the morning. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City-Mekong
Delta-Ho Chi Minh City (B,L,D) After breakfast, drive to Cai
Be 80km to the south, and board private river boats to cruise
on the Mekong River visiting Cai Be Floating Market. Continue
cruising to Vinh Long. Vinh Long, the capital of Vinh Long Province,
is a medium-sized town on the banks of the Mekong River. What
makes a trip to Vinh Long worthwhile is not the town itself
but the beautiful small islands in the river. The islands are
totally given to agriculture, especially the growing of tropical
fruits, which are shipped to markets in Ho Chi Minh City. Visit
Binh Hoa Phuoc Island where one of the fascinating things to
be seen are the "monkey bridges". These are makeshift
footbridges built of uneven logs about 30 to 80 cm wide and
from 2m to 10m above the canals. For lunch sample the local
delicacy, the "Elephant's Ear Fish" on Binh Hoa Phuoc
Island. After lunch cruise to Vinh Long to visit some cottage
industries producing tofu, husking rice, roof thatching and
others. Return to Ho Chi Minh City late in the afternoon. In
the evening transfer to Binh An Village for a very special farewell
dinner. The Binh An Village has been built in the style of a
traditional Vietnamese village and is set in beautiful tropical
gardens on the banks of the Saigon River. Dinner is alfresco
in the large gardens with entertainment provided by a jazz or
pop band. After dinner, the music continues with a private performance
by the owner, who is a well-known singer. During the evening
guests are welcome to sing, play or dance with the band. A farewell
gift of a traditional oriental marble stamp engraved with the
guest’s initials is left in each hotel room during the
evening. Transfer back to the hotel after dinner.

Day 7 Depart Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast a fleet of microbuses and guides will be available
outside the hotel for guests who would like to do some last
minute shopping. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for onward
flight by air-conditioned coach while luggage is taken care
of by porters and transported separately to the
airport for check-in.
