CEI 10 - ½ Day Tour - Mae Sai and the Golden Triangle ( private tour )

Daily departure from Chiang Rai, but only as a private tour.

We start of with visiting the famous triangle where Thailand borders to Burma and Laos. You will get some time to explore the market by the bridge on the border to Burma. This border triangle was in the former times well known as THE place for opium trading. There is a museum which shows parts of this history and we will pay it a visit. The lunch for today will be served in a restaurant with great view over the Mekong River. Afterwards we take a boat tour on the famous Mekong River along the border to Laos. Before the tour goes back to Chiang Rai, we will visit the ruins of the ancient city Chiang Saen.
