CEI 40 - ½ Day Tour - Trekking & Elephant Riding ( private tour )

Daily departure from Chiang Rai, but only as a private tour.

By eight-thirty depart for a long-tail boat journey to the Karen village of Ruam Mitr. Here we change our "vehicle" and continue the tour riding on elephants. The terrain is hilly on the two hours trip and one enjoys a spectacular view of the mountains surrounding Chiang Rai. Once across the ridge descend to a Yao hill tribe village, where our vehicle picks you up for a picnic lunch at our hill tribe cottage by a mountain stream. We walk to the Lahu village of Jaleh. Continue another hour along the trail to the Houei Mae Sai waterfall, where you can enjoy a swim before being picked up for return to Chiang Rai, where we will arrive in the late afternoon.
