Continue to Salato Mountain where there is a second and rarely-visited site and continue either to the waterfalls at Tadlang or to a third and hidden jars site. Return to hotel.

Day 3 -- Xieng Khuang - Luang Prabang
Fly to the former royal capital of Luang Prabang. Transfer to your hotel. Board your long-tailed boat for a cruise up the Mekong to the ancient meditation caves of Pak Ou, packed with beautiful Buddha images, and ideal place for your picnic lunch. Stop en route to visit a village where rice liquor is distilled. Return to hotel.

Day 4 -- Luang Prabang
Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of the World-Heritage City of Luang Prabang with its many fine temples which date back to the 16th century. In the afternoon, cross the Mekong to visit the more remote temples and villages and also visit the former Royal Palace with its superb collection of artworks (including the priceless Prabang, a Buddha image brought from Cambodia) and even a moon rock! Visit also the weaving village of Ban Phanom.

Day 5 -- Luang Prabang
Enjoy an excursion into the mountainous countryside past a number of hill tribes villages to the Kuangsy waterfalls which make an ideal and scenic spot for your picnic lunch.

Day 6 -- Luang Prabang
Fly to Vientiane. Transfer to the Friendship Bridge or fly out of Laos.
