A wonderful introduction to Bangkok, visiting three of the most famous temples in this fascinating city. Firstly, the Wat Traimit which houses a huge 5 tons solid gold Buddha. Next, we continue to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok's oldest and largest temples. Wat Pho was built by King Rama I nearly 200 years ago and houses the gigantic gold plated reclining Buddha. Wat Pho is also regarded as the first centre of public education and is sometimes called ''Thailand's First University", and is the spiritual home of authentic therapeutic Thai massage. Then to the Wat Benjamaphorphit, or Marble Temple, a most beautiful and ornate example of Thai architecture, with one of the country’s most beautiful Buddha images.
