Bangkok
KL - ½ Day - Bangkok Canals
( private tour )
Daily departure from Bangkok, but only as
a private tour.
With a short trip to Bangkok, you may feel
that you cannot spare the time to visit the more authentic
floating market at Damnoen Sakduak ( the market, which is
situated 80 kilometres southwest of Bangkok ), then a short
visit to see something of the Bangkok Klongs ( canals )
is in order. What you will see of this water borne way of
life is fascination, and it gives you a taste of a bygone
years, when much of the city life revolved around the river
and its network of canals. You will be surprised by how
different the city looks from the canals, and how quickly
you seem to be in the countryside. Once you return to the
river, we pass the Wat Arun - the Temple of Dawn - one of
the oldest temples in Bangkok, now often used as a symbol
of the city and the country, it is beautifully decorated
with ceramics and porcelain. We will depart from your hotel
in the early morning, so you will be back at your hotel
around noon.
