After the visit to Grand Palace
we will take a tour on Bangkok Canals (Canal Tour). With such
a short trip to Bangkok, you may feel that you cannot spare the
time to visit the more authentic floating market at Damoen Sakduak,
then a short morning visit to see something of the Bangkok Klongs
(canals) is in order. What you will see of this water borne way
of life is fascination, it gives you a taste of a bygone era when
much of the city life revolved around the river & its network
of canals. You also visit the Bangkok Floating Market, but in
truth, it is now somewhat over-commercialised. However, you will
be surprised at how different the city looks from the canals and
how quickly you seem to be in the countryside. Once you return
to the river, we pass the Wat Arun - the Temple of Dawn - one
of the cities earliest temples, now often used as a symbol of
the city & the country, it is beautifully decorated with china
& porcelain. To round off the tour, we call in at a local
lapidary factory & showroom. The tour is departing from your
hotel in the early morning, but you will be back at your hotel
around noon with the rest of the day ahead of you
